Hi. My name is Tamara. I am 33 (as of yesterday), 163cm tall and weigh 80kg (actually 79.9kg this morning...). I am due to start this diet tomorrow and have just been to the supermarket to buy the food items that I need. So no turning back now.
My ultimate goal would be to weigh in at about 65kg but realistically I might have to settle for 67 or so. My pre pregnancy weight (2yrs ago) was 70kg and I gained 27kg with pregnancy (twins), dropped 10kg after birth and slowly got rid of 7kg over the last 2 years. I now can't seem to shift off 80kg.
I am fairly active, walk to preschool 3 days a week (half hr round trip twice a day), started running around hagley park (chch) which is now 70% running and 30% walking YAY, takes about 50mins. I have a crosstrainer in my room to workout at night on which dammit only happens about 2 days a week at the moment.....
I am absolutely desperate now because I am bridesmaid at my friend's wedding in late feb 2010 and she is tiny arghhh so I will look bohemith next to her at the moment! And that is my goal.
Oh and I'd love to get back into my old clothes. I don't want to (and can't afford to) buy new clothes for returning to work sometime next year!
So that's me and my story. Will try to get on here daily to vent and scream and complain my way through hunger lol
Oh and will post up measurements etc tomorrow D DAY.
Meanwhile I need to go and eat all the bad stuff in the cupboards....(joke)...some of it anyway......

It's 3pm and so far so good. Breakfast took longer to eat than my normal 2 bits of toast so that was good. Forgot to cook the chicken last night so had to have the ham salad wrap instead. Dinner will be interesting. I bought the maggi cup of soup sachets, not sure if that was the right thing or not.
So I have been feeling somewhat a little hungry all day and the onset of a headache as well. I get headaches if I am too hungry for too long. Hopefully that will disappear in a couple of days maybe.
So measurements are
Weight - 79.8kg (yeah! lost 100g since yesterday)
Tricep 31.5cm Chest 96cm Hips 109cm Thigh 62cm Calf 38cm Butt 106cm Wrist 16.5cm Waist 91cm
These are measurements I have been using for the last 6mths so will keep them up here. I always measure the fattest part of whatever I'm measuring.

OMG I weighed myself this morning (have weighed daily for the last year) and I lost 900g. How the hell did that happen? ?? Weighed myself twice to double check too. I have never been less than 79.6 so must be something I did. Great, gives me inspiration! The soup was nice but I think I didn't quite make it up right. Was hungry when I went to bed but managed to get through it. I even made a banana loaf last night and DIDN'T eat any of it!!!! I did lick some batter off the spoon though oh well... Got up late this morning and didn't have time to cook omelette so having Special K again.. Well gotta go and do my preschool run. Seeya

Another 400g lost today YUSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! So that's 1.4kg in 2 days, I now weigh 78.4kg!!!!I hope this is going to keep up. Yesterday went good. I actually had half a piece of the banana loaf I made the other night but it was only the size of a snax cracker! By 9:30 last night I was just too hungry to try and ignore it so I HAD to have a small handful of special k and a watery milo with supertrim milk so hopefully that wasn't too bad. I'm pround that at least I didn't go and eat something high calorie!
Was going to go for a run this morning around Hagley but think I'll give it a miss because the wind is pretty bad. Won't be fun for the twins either so we'll go to the mall and do some xmas shopping.
Tonight I'll be on the xtrainer. I may have to have another handful of special k. It's not bad stuff actually on it's own. I'm a real chippie fan and I think I could see myself eating special k while watching a dvd lol
Oh well here goes another day!

Another 200g gone!!!!! I am so pleased. Now 78.2kg. To be honest I find the daily weigh in more motivating that once a week. I must admit I overpicked at a few things yesterday so I sort of made up for it my not having the yoghurt as my snack. Hopefully that might have evened things out.
Only managed 21mins on the xtrainer yesterday. A bit gutted about that, might have been the heat maybe as it's upstairs and it was 27 degrees yesterday. Will jump on tonight hopefully, no run today as it's raining.
Found this really cool podcast thing called Couch to 5km where you download it onto ipod and this guy basically talks you through getting to run 5km without stopping over an 8wk period I think. Might give that a go!
Gotta go, twins are squawking at me hmmmmmmm

No loss today but that's ok because it's "that" time of the month and I am more than likely retaining water. I didn't gain any so that's great.
Managed 30mins on the xtrainer last night and sweating like a pig. Today being Friday is bloody fish and chip night so luckily everyone is going without hee hee hee. It's make your own tonight!
I swear I look slightly slimmer and my clothes are a little less tight. I will wait til monday though to do measurements. I just hope xmas day doesn't whomp it all back on ha ha. We're on a picnic so usually that's lighter food than the usual sit down, stuff yourself affair.
Must go and drink some water, I haven't had ANY today and it's midday!
Oh and I was out this morning at the malls doing xmas shopping and god the smell of food has never been more teasing. It's definately when you can't have something, you want it more ha!

Yes yes yes yes yes, another 500g gone, totally stoked. Total weight loss so far is 2.2kg in 5 days!!!!!!
Didn't grieve too much over the loss of fish and chip night but have decided that on the third week I am going to treat myself in utter moderation to fish and chips for tea on the friday of the 3rd week.
Didn't do any exercise yesterday oops. So instead of todays "Day Off" perhaps I'd better do some. Usually I run around Hagley on a Sat morning but I have to do toy library duty this morning BORING.....
I was so rapt with todays weight I have even put some makeup and earrings on to celebrate!!!! I guess I should upload a picture of the almost before weight. Maybe later

Missed a day, probably cos I went up from 77.7 to 78.3 overnight arghh, don't know how that happened. Surely not the two rows of chocolate I ate.........
However, dropped back down to 78 this morning. Did my measurements and have achieved nothing off the chest, 3cm off the waist and 2cm off my hips YAY!!!!! Roll on day 10.
Had my snack of salami and crackers, ate them so fast I almost had to double check that I'd actually made them or was it just a dream......
Have had crap with my charming 13yr old daughter over the weekend which is affecting my motivation and stress levels but I am slowly trying to overcome that. Walked to preschool today, didn't do any exercise over the weekend unless you count a Sat night stroll for 30mins. Might get on the crosstrainer tonight before Dexter starts YUSS!!!
Heres hoping I'm in the 77's tomorrow!!!!

Thanks for the comment and I'm sure you will make it into the 60's soon. At my heaviest I was 86kg. For some reason, I was one of the lucky people that actually managed to lose weight during/straight after having kids, lol. After 2 kids I got to 70kg but did go up as far as 75kg again...recently (whoops) , but just couldn't get under 60kg. I've been following your diary and have noticed a few things in common. I also have trouble keeping off the scales, lol. I have been weighing myself daily and managed to gain today too. I was better on Sunday than Saturday too. Not sure what happened there, sigh. I will keep tuned for tomorrows update to see if you have hit the 77s, good luck!!!

Hi Carter, thanks. Yes I noticed a few similarities as well!
Well I hit the 77's today. 77.6kg. Great! The salami toast last night was not fun to eat. I can't stand processed cheese. It just feels like you shouldn't be eating it like polystyrene or carpet IYKWIM.
No exercise yesterday lazy ass... maybe tonight. One of my boys is sick and has been taking up a bit of my time like now grrr off I go

Another 100g so now 77.5. Great, half way through the 77's! Got my ass on the xtrainer and did 30mins hard which was great, had to eat a handful or two of special k afterwards though. Today was a 50min run at Hagley, great to get back there.
After being tuna'd out yesterday, I really didn't want tuna for lunch today so I substituted with two slices of salami in the salad.
Tried on a few of my dresses today including the bridesmaid dress and definately have lost some flab. Didn't want to vomit when looking at myself for the first time in a long time!
Roll on tomorrow!

Another 100g, but that took two days. I think I've been getting a bit cheeky. Stupidly opened a bag of mini choc bars meant for kids xmas stockings and been finding excuses to eat one or two lol. Such a guts!
Just remembered that when I said I was gonna have fish and chips on the friday of the 3rd week is actually xmas day so thinking it might be tonight! Tonights the night people!!!!!! Should I limit myself to one fish and 10 chips? I don't think I have that kind of self control.....
However to counter that I did go for a run today, took 55mins instead of 50. My mp3 died so my motivation was somewhat lost and I hate listening to myself struggling to breathe and half pie choking on thickened saliva (perhaps tmi?) oh and the scuffing of my feet on the ground.....things will improve surely!

Been a few days!
Fish and chips were GREAT!!!!! Definately didn't eat as much as I used to. Obviously the stomach has shrunk!
Now weighing 77.0kg. Have done for 2 days now. Went to a bbq lunch at my friend's yesterday so the diet went out the window a bit but not too badly. I think I did well. Haven't gained weight so all good.
Decided to go back to week 1 instead of going onto week 3 because xmas day is on friday and I am not going to be obsessive about counting calories on xmas day. A bit of everything in moderation will be the motto of the day!
My clothes are loosening up which is great and am starting to just fit my old clothes!!!! Not long now!!!!! Have applied for a job which begins in feb next year so would be great if I can meet my target by then and perhaps buy a few swanky work outfits!!!!

FINALLY dropped another 300g. So now weigh 76.7kg. Absolutely rapt! I have a nasty cold at the moment, you know one of those ones where you can't taste anything so it's kind of easy not to eat cos you just don't get quite the satisfaction lol.
