Hi my name is Lei and I am 41 years old from Te Kuiti in the King Country.
I am 95 kgs and my aim is to lose 25 kgs within the next 5 months. I have managed so far with just the exercise to lose 5 kg, and now I am hoping with a sensible eating plan such as this to reach my goal weight.

Hi my name is Clary and I am 31 years old from CHCH.
I was 78.5kg but have lost 4.5kg in the last week from being on this diet. I want get to around 65kg so 9kg to go. I use to sit around 72kg before having my 2 babies, and have slowly climbed up since and not been able to lose it (even with exercise and sensible eating). So I decided it was time to do something serious about it.
To those who are starting today (or in the last few days) hang in there. The first 3 days are REALLY hard, but after that it is so much easier. And drink heaps of water as it helps to keep you feeling full (well helped me anyway) Look forward to hearing your first weeks results!!

kriekz - I am sure you will keep it up remember it's all about telling yourself YES YOU CAN! haha we can all learn from mr. barrack obama leilei1- 5 kgs a month is achievable, and that is great that you have set a realistic goal, what sort of exercise do you do? clary - that's amazing!! and you're soo right, water makes you feel really full and not only that.. it helps metabolise your food even faster! Remember though not to get disheartened if your following weeks are not as much weight loss as the first, as your body would've lost loose fat in the first week, the tough fats follow after that. Just keep on keepin on and in no time you'll be downsized!

Hi ya ladies (and gents if there are any here) my name is Angelic1 and I'm in the lower Manawatu region
I am new here as of today, 30th September. Still going over Joannes plan and will probably switch from my plan to the new plan in a week when I get back to do grocery run in the city.
I aim to lose a further 34kgs! Yep, loads to go yet!
So far I have lost 22kgs by cleansing and I might be at a wee bit of a plateu, when I saw Joannes plan on Trade Me I thought this sounds like another kick that I need to rock me along again.
So between this plan and cleansing I should hopefully be close to my goal weight by the end of the year!
Best wishes to everyone on your weight loss journey, the effort is worth the results, but more importantly, WE are worth the results!
Cheers Angelica1

Hey all, I'm Sarah - 26 From Auckland! I used to weigh a pretty hefty 124 kgs and managed to lose 44kgs...however slowly the bad eating habits came back, got a boyfriend, got 'comfortable' and have painfully gotten back to around 95kgs (wahhhh!!!) so gained about 15 back... Soooooo now I'm aiming to lose around 20 - 25 kgs! Only got the plan today and have had a little meander through it, plan to start it probably Monday next week (05/10/09) Wish me luck and good luck to all of you!

Hey everyone.
Very cool to see a few more people on here.
Alicia you have the ultimate goal for losing weight - your wedding, congrats. I think its easier to lose weight when you have a goal (and time limit). Makes you more determined. Good luck and let us know how you get on 1st week.
You should all set up your own diary as I think now I have put my weight/goal weight on here, I HAVE TO do it now!!! Plus it helps to be spurring each other on. Up to you of course though.
Hope you other girls that have started in the last week are doing well - would love to hear what you think so far!

angelic1 - That's awesome though if you think about it! 22 kgs is aloooooooooot of weight. So the mere fact that you were able to do it before just shows that you can easily do it again, although you're right, you might've hit a plateau, but so what, everyone who's trying to lose weight would hit one sooner or later, you just have to have the mindset to push forward... just like you do good on you! mingara- Hehe that's alright, we all have those times where we tend to gain a little bit of weight again. to be honest last year I gained 5 kgs back because I broke up with my long term partner, but then i thought... I am in no way going to gain that 5 kgs back and look like he defeated me! So off to the gym I went and lost the 5 kgs again! But with xmas season coming up.... lol I'm pretty sure I'm going to gain a little bit again! alicia - ohhh how exciting where are you planning to get married??? clary - you are soo helpful to others.. which is awesome! it's good to push everyone to get to their goals becaus ein that way we also get to maintain our motivation!

Hi everyone, I'm Janine from Gisborne. I don't have too much weight to lose and I feel quite humbled reading your goals but I have about 5kgs to lose and it's enough to make me feel generally uncomfortable in my clothes. I had to lose 12kgs after my fourth child and that was such a mission that I wanted to do something before I get back to that weight again. I have just received the plan and am eager to get started right away even though tomorrow is a Friday. Is it ok to start midweek? After reading through the plan I was somewhat alarmed to find no red wine allowance. I think this will be my biggest struggle

Hi there my name is Janey. I'm 33 yrs old from Auckland. Every year I struggle with the same 8-10 kg at the end of Winter, and I must say as I am getting older they are getting harder and harder to shift.... I used to have an awesome metabolism in my 20's! I just got the diet today and have done the shop - ready to start tomorrow.
My biggest struggle is that I do get low blood sugar, and I normally have to eat regularly to avoid getting a migraine. I hope the sugar balance supplements by Blackmores will be of assistance though.

Hi Everyone! Im Kareena from Auckland! I am 23 years old and have struggled with my weight for a long time! I dont look that HUGE but i have my problem areas thats for sure and I weighed 94 kgs and after 8 days of doin this diet I am 89 kgs! I am wanting to lose atleast 20 kgs so that I am healthier and I want to lose it in the next four months! It was difficult at times, but I learnt alot - about eating the right foods with the right portion size! I go to the gym for about an hour every day and make sure I beat every machine I jump on because I am so determined to lose the weight! hehe Alicia - I know what you mean! I am going to get engaged in the next year and being indian - I will most definetly be judged as indian brides are meant to be pretty petite which right now i so am NOT! but i know I will be! so thats a great goal for me, my partner is on the diet too with me and he has lost even more than me and is a great support to me. We are enjoying the new experience and have been more disciplined than ever! What keeps me going is knowing I will walk down the aise as perfect as I can be and in 10 years time I can look at the photos and see that I was the pretite bride I always wanted to be.. this is a life changing experience losing the weight and I know that everyone out there trying it will achieve great results! Thanks for all your posts- its great to know there are people out there with the same opinions and problems we will beat this FAT and show them the hottt body we have underneath hehe we'll have summer bikini bodies in no time! Thanks Joanne
