Okay this is it. I am 32 years old and weigh 89 kilos! I have never ever ever been this big and its definately time for a change. Everywhere I go I feel like people are noticing my weight and its on my mind ALWAYS! Its making me unhappy and that I think is making me a bit grumpy with hubby and my 2 beautiful girls which isn't fair on them.
I have been married 4 years and was 68kg on my wedding day! My two babies (2 and 3) have added a few kilos but so have the chips, choc and cheese!!! Just to mention a few naughties that is, there are plenty more!
So today is the first day and so far I am feeling great! I feel good just knowing that I'm doing something about my weight. I have just had a chicken salad for lunch and it was suprisingly filling! Might have something to do with the amount of lettuce I had though! Who knew you could have salad without a truckload of cheese on it! LOL.
My hubbys just asked for pork chops for tea and I have a banana smoothy waiting for me. Not sure how thats gonna go but I am determined to stick to this and get to my goal weight of 70-75!

Yay I got through day 1! It actually wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be. The only thing was I had (and still have) a killer headache! Anyone else have this problem? I am guessing its from the removal of sugar and caffine (and food hehe) from my diet. I'm hoping that it settles down today cause the hunger I can handle but dealing with a headache all day along with a two and a three year old is hard!
I went for a lovely walk last night when hubby got home which I really enjoyed cause it doubled as time out from the kiddies. I'm not the best water drinker but I got 10 glasses down me which really did help my hunger. I also don't think I have ever looked forward to a bowl of cereal so much in my life!
Well day two here we come!

Day two went as great as day one! I sneakily got on the scales this morning and have already lost 2.4kg! My headache disappeared yesterday but has come back today, water seems to help. So day three is underway and I so so so can't wait to have hot soup for tea tonight! Its my third day with nothing hot to eat so am so looking forward to it!
I even got out and mowed our lawn yesterday with the push mower instead of the ride-on. Might try to do that every week, was hard work though!

I'm glad you're being so positive becasue I am starting tomorrow and I am really nervous. Tonight I had a "warm up" and had a chicken salad for dinner. surprisingly I don't feel hungry. I am armed with my shopping list and about to brave the supermarket. May need panadol for this headach thing people keep talking about (I assume thats ok?)

time4change, your story is very familiar. I too have 2 young ones 2 and 4 and between them, the chips and bad habits I have gained a good 20kgs + since my wedding 6 years ago. Hubby and I would snack at night too once the kids were in bed. It is very hard when he is so skinny and never puts on weight and can just eat all that bad food at night. I think I will no doubt jump on my scales tomorrow. Well done on your loss so far. At least seeing the scales going the right way keeps you motivated.
Keep up the good work =)

HI There... I also have a similar story...lol... I am 33 years of age, been married for 13 years, have 3 children, 12yr old son, 9yr old girl, and now have my 3month old lil boy... then there is the excess weight i have put on..lol.. yes weight was never an issue for me, until people started realising that I'm not the same size I once was before kids, so they seem to tell me all the time how much weight I have put on...depresses me, so I went online through trademe, and saw this diet plan... read all the feedback on there, and knew straight away this is not a hoax, purchased the product, I started on 15 November day 1, I weight 77.1kgs.. my goal weight is to be between 50-60kgs, especially for someone my height, 1.56m so I'm a lil person..lol I'm very excited, have made it through to Day 3 today.... was grumpy yesterday, but I am okay now... hehehe but can't wait to read up on everyone elses success this will be fun and challenging, but I know we can all do it, but would love to thank Jo for sharing her success for everyone to feel good about themselves again...catch up soon everyone and good luck..xx

Day 7 weigh in day!!! The day I have been waiting for!!! Not amazing results but still happy with them and if I keep it up I am sure to get to my goal weight.
Have lost 3.2kg, 4cms off bust, 3cms off waist and 4cms off hips.
Although the scales havent had a dramatic weightloss, I feel better. I already feel my clothes fitting a bit better and it just feels good not to have to eat all day. I don't think I will ever go back to eating the amounts I was eating a week ago.
So all in all I am happy with the results over the last week. Bring on next week which fingers crossed will bring me closer to my goal weight!

Congrats on your loss. You did really well. I hear you when you say about eating so much during the day. I can't believed I ate as much as I did, but now on this diet I feel satisfied with so little. God i was a pig. Great cm loss too. Sometimes they are always better than the scales and it's what makes the clothes fit better.
Sounds like you, sina and I are all in the same boat, so lets hope we can support each other and encourage each other along the way.
Again, congrats.

OMG I had the worst weekend!! I knew that I would because I had social bbqs both last night and today. I actually could have been worse because I pretty much left the potato chips alone and had only a couple of crackers with soft cheese on...and some hummus dip. But I ate a very big dinner and a very big lunch today! Well big compared to what I have been eating the last week anyway.
I can just feel that I have put on a couple of the kgs that I worked hard to loose so smoothie for dinner tonight and start fresh again tomorrow. Why I decided to diet at this time of the year when there are so many functions to go to I do not know!

Had another weigh-in today for day 10. Not too bad considering my bad weekend. I haven't lost any kilos but have lost another 2cms off my waist and 2 off my hips. I'm pretty happy with that, its only been a couple of days since my last weigh-in so a couple of cms is great. Right back into it today with 20mins on the excercycle this morning and a smoothie for breakfast. Looking forward to another weigh-in to see some better results.

Day 14, weigh-in time again! Here we go...............not too bad!
Another kg down, 1cm off my chest, 1cm off my waist and nothing off my hips.
Total:
4.1 kg, 5cms off chest, 6cms off waist, 6cms off hips.
I think I can do this! I have had a couple of bad days where I have felt like giving up but the results are showing so I'm going to try hard to stick to it now that I've started. No piking this time!
