OK! Sooo here I am! Today is the beginning of my journey to lose weight! I am hungry just thinking about it! I have been faced with temptation already…it was difficult going to the supermarket this morning, passing the Apricot Danish that I normally stop to get for breaky and the fact that everything I don’t need was on special! Here we have folks…my weakness! My obsession with junk food! Well…today I’m done!
I have gained 30kg since being pregnant with my first child just over 2 years ago and maintained this weight throughout my second pregnancy recently. My second child is now 9 weeks old and I am ready to shed this excess weight. My current weight is 107kg!
I want to lose 30kgs and I am giving myself 4 months to do so. I want to lose weight for a number of reasons:
•I’m returning to work soon and want to go back looking fabulous and feeling good about myself! A new beginning!
•I want to have more energy to keep up with my 2 year old and play that old favourite game of “Chase” – her favourite!
•I want to look and feel good for my husband!
To achieve these goals my eating habits need to change! I need to exercise! Starting today! So far I have done well with my eating today and haven’t been hungry. I have drank 2 bottles of water and completed a 45min walk with dog and pushchair in tow!
Thanks for joining me on my journey and sharing yours! I am determined to make this work!

Day 2!
So I think Day one went well! Although at the beginning of the day I wasn't hungry by dinner time I was absolutely starving. The chicken soup did well to curb that hunger but I awoke this morning at 5am with a grumbly tummy! So to help me with this, I drank a bottle of water. YEP the whole bottle.
Omelette was good this morning, but I did cheat a little and added an additional egg. - 2 eggs in total! I am breastfeeding at the moment so want to make sure that I don't undercut too much to affect my baby girl. Yesterday I added a banana into the mix...so hopefully there's not too much of an impact on the diet as a whole.
Have a busy day planned so that should take my mind off eating, as I tend to eat more when I'm bored! I am committed to either a 45minute walk with the dog or a 30 minute jog on the treadmill this afternoon!
All in all, I feel good...I feel ok! It certainly helps drinking a lot of water and well, water cant' be bad for ya!
