Hi Everyone, Today I started on the road to try and redeem myself and my esteem. I am weighing at the heaviest I have ever been through my life, even more than my weight with my pregnancies. I have had enough of suffering and missing out on so many things in life due to carrying this weight. So here I am on day one of my journey to regain my life. My current eating habits were fairly appalling, never said no to seconds or takeaways. Never really cooked healthy either. The fatal thing that has contributed to my weight is the fact that I live on fizzy drink. Very rarely have hot drinks, so when ever I wanted a drink which is probably more often than the normal amount I would drink a very large glass of coke or any sort of fizzy that I could get my hands on. I will admit that the drinking water will be the biggest struggle for me as I don't like the taste. So here I am weighing in at 101kgs. Today has gone well and I don't feel hungry. I have stuck to the 8 glasses of water and the menu for day one. Did about a 45minute walk with my dog tonight. I am journalling everything incase anything changes or I have to swap anything around. So far I have stuck to the plan.

You've made a great start, well done. Don't worry though, fizzy hasn't gone forever, you're alowed diet coke etc later on. And I know it doesn't taste the same, but believe me, after not having any sugar for so long, a diet coke tastes absolutely fantastic. Stick to the plan the first week, you will be highly rewarded. It's hard, but whats 1 week in your life? Really really worth it. Keep it up I will look forward to following your story.

Hi ikip48, thanks for your comment on the fizzy. Got through day one ok, not as hungry as I thought I would be which was surprising. I found that after dinner going for my walk then gave me something else to focus on, as in the evening is when I start to crave my sweet things. Stuck to the plan for the day and coped with the water which is a biggy for me.

Day 4 Weighed myself this morning, was trying to hold off for the whole week but thought if maybe I had lost just a little it would give me the incentive to really stick to the diet. I have been sticking to the diet apart from mixing up one days breakfast with the next and my son had helped himself to the fruit I had rationed out for the diet so had to replace the apple with a banana. So with weighing myself this morning after just 3 days I have lost 2kgs and 4cm around my waist. I have'nt yet checked all the other measurements that I have done as I will leave that to my first week on the diet has ended. I realise that alot of that will be water, but for someone who has'nt exercised in donkeys years I'm glad to see the scales moving down instead of up!! I am enjoying the food so far and could easily go on eating what I have so far. So nice to not have such stodgy meals like I was. Have'nt missed the potatoes at all. I hope anyone else reading this forum has success in their weight loss.
