DAY ONE Hi all. Have just read through everybodies diaries and it makes interesting reading. I am very similar to Hayley. 164cm tall, weighing in at 62.7kg this morning. I have a 'happy'weight which is 59 - 60kg so I dont want/need to lose much. My ideal weight according to Weight Watchers is 55kg but realistically at 42 years old I would look old and wrinkly at that weight. My face and upper body tend to get very scrawney and I dont want to look like my MIL. LOL. I have been trying for 18 months to get back down to 59kg and just cant lose those few kilos. I am a naughty eevery morning weigher and my wight can fluctuate from one morning to the next from 1 to 2 kilos difference. I joined WW online and have done that with little effect so am trying this diet to see if I can achieve what I want to. My biggest downfall is wine so I will find it hard to cut out completely. In fact I know I wont but I hope to cut down alot. This first week I am aiming to keep away from it totally. Anyway, starving now so better go and eat my sammy which is calling me. Good luck everyone and thanks for the interesting ideas and views that you have all posted. This could be fun sharing with others.

Hi Mopsy,
Welcome and good on you. Its pretty easy to lose the weight in the first few weeks, but staying off the wine has been hard for me, I didn't drink for 3 weeks, then for the last 3 weekends I have been at bbq's, or out and couldn't help myself, which means the next day I am hungover and all I want is junk food, you would think once you hit 40 that those days would be over, well I'm ashamed to say I still have not learnt myh lesson.
Stick with it, I'm sure it won't take you long, the first week is definatley the hardest and a lot of us suffered really bad headaches, not sure if it was the lack of coffee or food...
All the best
Linda :-)
P.S. Try the 1 glass wine, 1 big glass of water..... not speaking from experience of course! lol!!

Thanks for that Linda. I too crave junk food after a few good wines so know how easy it can be too fall for that and think, once wont make a difference. LOL. I know those diet headaches well. It is you body getting a shock when you cut out your bad carbs sometimes that causes that and unfortunately I also suffer bad headaches when I am hungry. I am dreading the smoothie dinner nights! I havent received my entire package yet so I am very interested to know what the Week 2 diet plan holds.

DAY 2 Oh well I made it through Day one. Thats something i suppose. Chicken soup was yummier than expected and quite filling. Dreading only having a smoothie tonight. I am a meat and veg girl through and through. Looking forward to lunch and surprisingly not hungry after having yucky egg for breakfast. I suppose its OK to keep my banana for afternoon snack as I am a picker in the afternoon so really would rather snack then than in the morning.

DAY 3 Oh dear. Fail! 2 glasses of wine last night. Still did the right food though and weighed in this morning (couldnt resist) at 62.2kg. If I can be 61.9 by the end of the week I will be happy as. To see 61s again will be nice. Did do a naughty this morning, put two slices of tomato on my toast, couldnt bear the thought of toast on its own I'm afraid.

Oh well. Day 8. Fail, fail, fail. Had a very sociable weekend. basically stuck to programme, well maybe a little. Had no bad food but not exactly diet food either. Also more of the demon wine. On the upside lost 1/2 kilo so must have got a little bit right. Starting Week 1 all over again and have made sure there is no wine in the house and have got no social engagements all weekend! Onwards and upwards.... or downwards as the case may be
