-- How much weight do you want to lose?
30-40kgs
-- What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
6 months
-- How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
Eating healthy and exercising regularly
-- Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
I feel that you are the only one who can motivate yourself in the long run. Nobody else can put in the ground work. Nobody else can feel your pain or lose weight for you.
-- How realistic is your goal?
I think it's fairly realistic if i can make myself stick to it, i know i'm capable of more then 30 minutes of exercise daily.
-- When will you start?
Saturday - Need a day to get the ingredients and get my scales back off my friend & do measurements etc.
--
1. What is your current height and weight?
Height - 5'3
Weight - 115.5 kgs
Measurements;
Bust - 132cms
Under Bust - 117cms
Waist - 138cms
Hips - 145cms
Upper thigh - 56cms
Upper arm - 34cms
2. If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
65-70kgs
3. At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
75-80kgs
4. Why do you want to lose weight?
Health, confidence, self esteem, fit into normal clothing! Not feel ashamed and embarrassed.
5. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
Yes my best friends marriage is early next year, i am the maid of honour. The date isn't set yet. But it will be happening next year.
6. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
Junk food! Not enough exercise.
7. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
I've had a weight problem from a young age due to my life situation. I haven't had the best upbringing, i've always turned to food for comfort. Although i've been fairly active as a child (playing sports etc) It's never been enough. I find losing weight very hard, i have to work extremely had to lose anything!
8. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
Obviously eating more healthier and NOT getting any junk at all when doing groceries. Not caving, when fatty foods are dangled under my nose - staying more focused and having more self control.
Getting out and exercising a lot more, join the gym etc.
9. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
Yes. Moved to New Plymouth and lived with an aunt on her farm when i was younger. Unrealistic now though ...
Lowered food intake, had no shops around as we lived on a farm. Exercise was easy as all i had to do was walk outside the house and walk around the farm. I live in an area where walking around the neighborhood wouldn't be recommended. So walking is an issue sometimes when i have to get in the car and drive somewhere first.
10. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
I came back home and fell into the same habits. There is no strong support here, my mother also has no self control. She's a person who enjoys her snack foods etc. So is my partner. Although both are not overweight.
11. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
Lowering food intake, exercising regularly.
Feel starved - so eat more. Feel lazy - put things off. Procrastinate.
12. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
Yes, i have done that before.
13. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
Yes i cook dinner every night. A lot of food high in carbs. Potatoes, meat, pasta etc. Also cook a lot of things in oil.
14. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
At least once a week. Bakery, mc d's, chinese etc.
15. What are your three favorite foods?
Kebabs, Bacon, chicken
16. What are your three favorite restaurants?
Subway, Burger King, KFC
17. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
Not eat as much of it. Don't cook with oil. Don't eat so much foods high in carbs or eat food with bread.
18. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
I'd be happier, healthier and possibly not on medication for my diabetes anymore. I'd be less then 75kgs - I'd be healthy enough to then start thinking about having a family of my own.
19. Do you eat when you are not hungry?
Sometimes.
20. Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Sometimes. When i do this it's mainly things like biscuits, chips etc.

Sometimes.

Yes.

Meat + Vegies + Potatoes, pasta etc.
26. What type of snacks do you eat?
Chips, nutts, biscuits, chocolates, lollies.
27. In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
Walking, and got an ab pro for xmas but haven't used it very much.
28. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?
Local park, go for walks + Home.
29. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
Walking, swimming, skipping.
30. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
Being healthy, getting control back of my life. Being happy! The weight is the major issue to my depression, so feeling good about myself and not being embarrassed to go out with friends would be fantastic! I hope that i see good results as the weeks pass, i know this will give me more motivation to work towards that ultimate goal.
31. Do you have rewards for certain goals?
My friend has told me that if i can get down to a size 14 and fit into this dress she has given me, she will give me $250 to go clothes shopping. So that is one thing i am looking forward too. And also having a very big party at my 25th bday if i reach my goal weight by then which is in July.
