Wow! Linda you are doing so well!! Don't even feel too bad about slipping, you have been so good for just slipping a few times! But of course it's good that you feel really bad about cheating too because that means you are not going to do it again Since you're so near your goal, I'd suggest taht you have one treat day every 2 weeks, that way you will not feel deprived. What I used to do is have a burger for lunch and just have 3 apples for dinner, that way I got what I want for lunch, but I cut my dinner But all in all you are doing so great, it's always the first week when you lose the most, as that's water weight. Buy 7 kgs of sugar and you'll see how much weight you have lost and then you'll realised how amazing that you've lost all of the weight you've piled over how many years within just 4 weeks KEEP IT UP!!

Hi Roachi,
Thanks for the Maccas story I will stay away definately, we all went to the beach last night for a picnic and dinner everyone else had fish and chips and I phone and pre ordered a healthy subway 6" turkey roll, it was really yummy and for a treat I had a coke Zero. Weighed in this morning and now 74kg so getting better and better! Thats 8.2kg in total and only 6-7kg to go.
Loving the Zumba, we have it at the area school here at 5.30 - 6.30 we do it outside on the tennis court as there are too many of us to go into the hall, its fun and its $5 so pretty good, I am looking forward to it tonight, roped a couple of other friends into it too.
I got up at 6am and went for a long power walk along the beach, let the puppy off his lead and he loved it, running in and out of the water and chasing seagulls, and catching up to me then running away again, it was all good and I feel great now.
All the best to you all and welcome to all the newbies its all good and it really does work!
Take care all of you and have a good week!

HI all, And welcome to you all, its so good to see so many newbies on this forum. I've been on this diet plan now for 7 1/2 weeks and my results are below, still want to lose another 5-7kg but seem to have reached a Plateau in my weight loss, despite exercising everyday now. I am 174m tall and weight 82.2kg as of this morning. 17th January Weight today 4/3/10 73.8kg Measurements are: Chest/Bust 40.5 inch or 103cm Bust today 4/3/10 39" Waist 37" or 94cm (I find this hard to believe thought my waist was about 28") der!!! Waist today 4/3/10 - 33" actually have a waist now Hips 42.5 in or 108cm Hips today 40 In 4/3/10 I am so pleased with this plan and its really got me back into good eating habits although like all of you I am only human so do slip up occasionally but I know my limits now and I think its okay to have a glass of wine if I feel like it (not a bottle), for a treat I have the 90 calorie muesli bar which I quite like now. (Flemming Body Plus) and when I make my salads I add heaps more salad stuff, celery, capsicum, red onion, and also some fresh herbs, coriander, mint, basil, parsely etc and have made a dressing of lemon juice with a little bit of olive oil and garlic, it really makes a difference and the variety of taste you can create using herbs is great. I know that I will reach my goal and being realistic I need to look towards the end of April to get to my goal of 68kg and allow myself 1 day off every 2 weeks, I won't go crazy and just pig out, but will allow myself a day of eating what I like but will check the fat and sugar contents. I used to be a real coffee addict and had at least 5 coffee's per day, since doing this diet I allow myself one in the morning with my breakfast, and with trim milk (also got used to that now), and sometimes another during the day depending on what I am doing. I drink over 4 ltrs of water everyday and really enjoy it, my skin looks so much healthier too. So all of you please keep it up and stick to your dairies as its good for us to see how we are all going and motivate each other, thanks to Roachi and Ikip48 hope you 2 are still sticking with it. Ikip48 and I started this diet at the same time and its been really good tracking our progress, and ups and downs. Anyway I went to Zumba last night, just loving it, they are now having classes 4 x a week so will get right into it, just need to get a bit more co-ordinatioin and I look like to total clown. Was up at 6am this morning and took puppy for an 1 1/2 walk right to the end of the beach and back home, he is still asleep hasn't moved since we got back, poor little dog! But good for me and a great way to start the day. Hope I am not raving on too much, but just want you all to enjoy joys of losing weight as I have and I really think that this forum does help me stick with it. Have a great week and weekend everyone, I will report back in next week. Linda

Hi all, And a big welcome to all the newbies, so great to see you all sharing your journey with the rest of us. Its week 8 for me and I am struggling, I have the good Linda and the Bad Evil Linda both competing with each other, so I am stuck back on 74kgs again, 200g up from last week. I have been exercising most days for at least 1 hour, actually got up in the dark at 0615 this morning and went power walking with dog along the beach and back at least 6km so feel quite good about that. But..... .the evil Twin Linda roared her head over the weekend, it was my sons 4th birthday so I made him a cake for Kindy on Friday, which I ate half of while making it into a fish shape, then on Sat I made another chocolate banana cake (just thought I would say I am a crap baker) but cut in a fish shape, with blue icing and a few lollies it looked acceptable, anyway had to cut that one into a fish shape too, so ended up eating the pieces I didn't use and of course had to cover them in icing too so they tasted better! Bad bad bad! To make it worse we ended up having an impromptu bbq/4th birthday party on Sat night with a few people, so the wine was flowing, so was the cheese, crackers, dips, etc which the Bad Evil Twin Linda couldn't say no to, needless to say I was feeling a little sorry for myself yesterday and was craving a big fat burger and chips to soak up the alcohol, but the Good Linda appeared and I ended up getting the 6g Subway Roast Beef sub and had that, felt much better. But then had another bbq dinner last night with the neightbours and ate before dinner, chips, dips and cheese and crackers, then had garlic bread dripping in butter, along with my salad and sausages and kebabs so not happy with myself again!!!!!! But I have decided I am starting back on week 1 again, I liked week 1 and it was really good for my dicipline, I have lost over 8kg which I am really stoked with but still have another 6-8 to go, I will achieve this just like all of the rest of the members. I can really see the difference in my clothes they are now fitting me again and even my face is a bit thinner which is great, but just getting over these bloody pathetic binges I have makes me really angry. To make it worse my neighbour/friend does not worry about her weight (and yes she is over weight) and she does not encourage me to stick with my plan - she is actually in the Evil Linda Camp, and loves me to eat the chips/dips/cheese/crackers with her, I will be prepared and cut up some celery, carrots etc next weekend so I can be stronger! And I have really toned up (not a supermodel or anything but not feeling wobbling so much when I walk) with all the walking which I am loving, and the Zumba classes :-*which are now on 4 times a week now, so will be off there tomorrow and try and make those classes 3 times a week as I am loving them. Signing out for now, hope my ramblings don't bore you all too much. I look forward to reporting in next Monday with a positive weight loss!@ Good luck to you all, take care have a good week and be kind to yourselves. Linda

Hi Linda, This must be normal, I'm right there with you!! But I have to say...we have not given up!! I'm loving the exercise too, i feel so good and I can actually go for a run. When I started it was a run/walk, about 50/50. And I will actually go in the daylight too now. previously early morn before people start looking out the windows..lol. You are doing great, you are recognising any slip ups and not accepting them, you stop and try again. And your neighbour....she is jealous of your success, there are so many people around who just love seeing people fail. It somehow makes them feel good or superior. And sounds as though, this is her. give her another couple of weeks and she will be asking you for advice on how to lose weight. You've got me all inspired again. Thanks.

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks I am not giving up! You can do it, the first week is the hardest but once you get past that and see results you can keep going.
All the best "you can do it"
Take care

Hi all,
Well its over 2 months since I started on this plan, and I have had my ups and downs, but I am very pleased to report that I am 73kg as of today, so nearly 10kg weight loss, I can see the 60's in my grasp now and I am going to get there, ideally I would like to get down to 68kg which is only 5kg away.
The key is perserverance and we have to be kind to ourselves, its okay to slip up now and then, we are only human, and when we have been so good for so long a little treat doesn't really hurt and in my opinion saves us from really going off the wagon and binge eating.
Unfortunately I have done no exercise since Thursday, I hurt my sciatic nerve and have been hardly able to walk, and have been away for work over the weekend, now my hubby is away for a couple of days and he left at 0530 this morning so no walk this morning or tonight as no one to look after kiddies. I will just have to step it up when he gets back on Wednesday.
Take care all of you and welcome to Moo and Steph good to have you both on board! Its hard to start with but it does get easier and once you see the results then you know that you are on the right track.
Linda :-)
