Well i'm 23, 170cm and currently 91kgs.
My Ideal weight is about 73kgs, which is what I weighed before I went to university.
Before I went to uni and through high school I was always active, competing horses, mountain biking, hockey and generally being busy teen.
I went to uni and promptly gained 13 kgs (more than half of that in the first semester).
I then moved home and kept gaining. I joined the gym and was doing well but I found that when I didn't go for a week I couldn't get back into it. Last year I got down to 83kgs before piling it all back on again and by Christmas 2009 peaked at 95Kg.
I have manged to get below 90kg once this year but am now hovering at about 91Kg.
My goal is to lose as much as possible before I do a tour of Europe next year. My tour starts mid July so I have 8 months almost exactly to become smaller. I would liike to be size 10-12 rather than 14-16 and be happy to be in a bikini in the Greek Islands.
This is my first proper diet and I am really nervous about starting. My partner is being supportive but it will be very hard when he eats chips and Mc D's in front of me.
I am about to go for a walk then head to the supermarket with my shopping list to start the first week diet tomorrow.

Your story is similar to mine. I'm about the same height minus a couple of cms and about the same weight at the moment. I was 68kg when I got married four years ago and a couple of babies and a lot of junk food as added a couple extra (as in 20!!). I want to get to about 70 - 75.
I'm on day 3 now and going good, altough at night is when my hubby and I usually snack on the goodies when the kids are in bed and I agree it was hard watching him eat his icecream tonight! Its even harder preparing yummy meals for the family and then sitting down to a smoothie! But the weight is coming off so its all worth it! Good luck.

Supermarket shopping was really fun tonight. I took heaps more notice of the kJs in the different foods. It cost me less than $50 to buy most of the food for the week (minus tihngs I already had) plus a few extras for my other half. Made my lunch already so no excuses tomorrow morning about not having time. Plus I'm biking to work tomorrow for my first lot of daily exercise.

So yesterday was the first day. I managed to stick to it completely except for stealing one piece of pasta from my partners dinner. I even resisted the lollies he ate after tea.
yesterday I drunk about 2.25 l of water so need to do better today as I was still a bit headachy without the caffeen. I didn't crave chocoloate yesterday at all which I was impressed with. Bit fuzzy eyed at 3pm but just put up with it. Didn't sleep that well as woke up starving at about 2am. hope that doesn't happen tonight.

well day 2,3 and 4 have gone pretty well.
I have stuck to the diet completly with no slip ups. I have 2.5 really supportive male office-co habitants but my team leader and his crew next door have enjoyed waving chocolate infront of me, I think after today they learnt that I was actually angry and didnt find it funny at all.
In our office we have had 2 morning tea shouts this week and I have managed to restrain myself and touch none of it. had one coffee yesterday other than that I have stuck only to water.
By biking to work every day plus going the long way on day 2 I have cycled 20km. I went for a 45 min walk last night and today power walked over the hill with a work mate. got back feeling worked and sore.
tomorrow I'm biking to work again and then having a day off exercise. Saturday I'm heading up the peak.
I am really nervous about the weekend as I i'll be home around food and I'm sure i'll want to eat. I have also got a birthday party on saturday night. I'm sober driving and not going to stay the night with evyone else so I don't eat a bad breakfast.
I have been bad and jumped on the scales tonight I am just under 90kg, so lost about 1.5ish kg (i wish i had didgital scales) so far. Hope to get to a definate 90.5 by Monday morning, I'd be happy with 2kg in one week.
